Originally recorded between 2005-2008, 'Sodium' was intended to showcase my band with Mark and Dave and as a follow up to 'The Twitch'.
Most of the tracks started off as improvisations which were embellished with overdubs, in the case of 'Ever Decreasing Circles' absolutely tons of overdubs and in the case of 'Ridiculous Grasp' hardly any.
In finally getting to release this I have changed things around a lot, discarding some of the tracks I originally intended to release and featureing some tracks I have recently unearthed.
As with my album, 'Neptune', I have really wanted to get this out to let the world know what incredible musicians Mark and Dave are/were.
Since Dave died I have felt it very important to release what I consider to be some of his best playing on record. The solos on 'Ridiculous Grasp' and 'Sodium' are sublime, some of the greatest keyboard playing I can think off.
This is some heavy music, jazz but not jazz and I promise you Dave's solo on 'Ridiculous Grasp' is worth the price of admission alone.

"Moon Safari" is back with a full-length studio album after more than 10 years - not counting the interesting collaboration in 2016 with Steve Nardelli and his band "The Syn". It's the long-awaited second part of "Himlabacken", and it's in the same vein, to my delight. Once again, incredible melody arcs and lush vocal harmonies in abundance!
