Tryptich is inspired by the concept in The Law of Threwhich originates in the teachings of the spiritual teacher George Gurdjieff. It posits that any phenomenon or event can be understood as the result of three fundamental forces or principles:
Affirming or Active Principle (Holy Affirming): This represents the force that initiates or affirms an action or event. It is the driving force, the source of creation or change.
Denying or Passive Principle (Holy Denying): This principle represents resistance or opposition to the Affirming Principle. It acts as a counterforce, preventing events from progressing unchecked.
Reconciling or Neutralizing Principle (Holy Reconciling): This principle mediates between the Affirming and Denying Principles, bringing harmony and balance. It helps resolve conflicts and allows for the manifestation of a higher level of understanding or consciousness.
Together, these three principles form a dynamic triad that underlies the unfolding of events and the evolution of consciousness according to Gurdjieff's teachings.
In April 2014 I visited a recording studio with two of my favourite musicians and recorded this... Murphy McCaleb on trombone, Steve Lawson on bass and myself on drums. Andy Edwards
supported by 9 fans who also own “TRYPTICH i Affirmation”
Summary: A great album. I'll play it many times again, currently also my "end of the day immersion" choice, where it's percolating well : )
